Energy saving close to daily life

New energy-saving products and technologies used in daily life are gaining in popularity. CCTV reporter takes us to the Beijing International Energy Saving and Environmental Protection Exhibition to show us the latest in green technology.

The exhibition, which got underway on Sunday is focused on the theme of Green Industry and Green Consumption. It is showcasing technologies and products used in various sectors, including the recycling economy and new energy development. Exhibitors are also promoting energy-saving products that conserve energy in daily life. They are called intelligent power supply managers, designed to save energy consumed by electric appliances.

One exhibitor said "Just push a button on the remote, and you can save between 10 and 30 percent of electricity consumption.

Energy-saving homes are also highlighting the exhibition. Many of these products are closely related to the daily life of people. This kind of paint is used on the outside of buildings. It helps to regulate temperatures inside the building. And these windows and doors help to preserve heating and also prevent ultra-violet rays.

Organizers say the exhibition will encourage more people to join in efforts to save energy and protect the environment.
