New 100 MW to be built in the Philippines

A twenty-five (25) year Service contract was signed between Living Project 4 People Philippines Inc. (LP4PP) and the country’s DOE. The signing will start the process of completion of development , installation, construction, commissioning and operation of a 100.0 MW Solar PV Project in Ilagan City, Isabela, Philippines.

Ruth P Briones, the President /CEO of the LP4P Philippines announced the approval by the Department of Energy (DOE) of a 25 –year Solar Energy Service Contract (SESC) and its Certificate of Registration.

The signing of the 25 year SESC of the 10 Phase -10.0 MW Solar PV Power Project of LP4P Philippines provides the enjoyment of the privileges under the Renewable Energy Law of the country.

The 10- Phase Power plant is expected to start construction in August this year and each phase will be operational after construction, installation and commissioning. Each phase is a standalone Solar PV power plant to be connected to the Luzon Grid of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP). The 100.0 MW will be fully operational in early 2016.

Accordingly, LP4P Philippines intends to provide power to the grid throughout the year, at the pre-determined feed-in-tariff rates for solar power set by the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC).
