Cooperating to train human resources for energy efficiency in Vinh Long province

On June 26, the Energy Conservation Center Ho Chi Minh City (ECC HCMC) and Vinh Long Department of Trade and Industry signed a deal to cooperate and implement energy efficiency activities in Vinh Long province, of which the main content was ECC HCMC would support to train human resources for Vinh Long Department of Trade and Industry to promote energy efficiency activities in the province.

Based on the functions and tasks assigned, leaders of Vinh Long Department of Trade and Industry said with the capability of ECC HCMC, the Department is confident in the efficiency of cooperation between the two units in the future. Besides the training of human resources on energy efficiency including communications, energy audit consultation and energy management, ECC HCMC will coordinate with Vinh Long province to deploy topics and projects in the field of energy efficiency, energy renewable and the transfer of technology to support enterprises with innovating equipments, technology, reducing energy consumption and overcoming environmental pollution in accordance with the oriented scientific and technological development of the province.

With that goal, it is expected that early of September 2013, ECC HCMC will support Vinh Long Department of Trade and Industry to hold seminar "Energy saving and efficiency in processing seafood and rice in the Mekong Delta". The workshop is a part in the series of events of Green Technology Forum in Mekong Delta in 2013 by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment and Ministry of Natural Resources.

The provinces in the areas such as Tien Giang, Ben Tre, An Giang, Kien Giang, Can Tho, Bac Lieu, Ca Mau... has been in cooperation with ECC HCMC to implement energy efficiency programs. In 2013, Vinh Long promotes energy efficiency activities to raise the awareness of energy efficiency in the community.
